Infrastructure Engineer

Tasks: 
  • Extend, improve and implement IT Infrastructure for all Datacenters and Offices operated by Greentube
  • Work closely with all the other teams within the IT department to offer them a highly redundant and stable infrastructure and project consultancy on design decisions and implementation
  • Build up new services based on Kubernetes
  • Administering and monitoring the Network, SAN, Storage, Blade and Virtual environment
  • Supporting the hosting infrastructure for K8s clusters (e.g. Tanzu)
  • Performing root cause analysis and debugging tasks
  • Continuous improvement and automate the current infrastructure
  • Design and implementation of new topologies and highly available environments
  • Capacity planning for networking services, virtualization and storage resources
  • Representing the team as a competent partner in IT and business projects
  • Willingness to perform on-call standby for out of office hours
Must-have skills:
  • Completed technical education in the field of information technology, computer science or similar
  • 3+  several years of experience (ideally 5+ years)
  • Profound knowledge of computing and networking fundamentals in a Cisco-based environment (UCS, Nexus, ACI, Catalyst, DNA-Center)
  • Good understating of Storage, SAN and virtualization technologies
  • Working proficiency in English
Nice to have skills:
  • Experience with handling and managing service mesh, container networking and persistence volumes
  • Virtualization Knowledge covering the areas of the network (NSX-T, ACI), storage (Hyperflex, vSAN, VPLEX) and hyper-converged systems (VMware VCF, VXRAIL, Hyperflex)
  • Configuration experience on Cisco ACI and DNA Center
  • Hands-On experience on storage and SAN equipment from a major vendor
  • The first experience in working with Azure or AWS and handling multi-cloud direct connects
  • Vendor-specific certifications (e.g. CCNP, VCAP)
  • knowledge of xWDM technologies and UNIX-styled systems
  • Driver’s license
