Description
Now they are looking for a hands-on, capable Game Producer/Project Manager to deliver games on target and budget. The Game Producer/Project Manager shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions when they don't know something, who challenges accepted practices, and always tries to look under the covers. Since this role will see the individual talking to a lot of different stakeholders plus 3rd parties, they need to enjoy communicating just as much as tuning their plans and reports. This is an important role for both higher management and team members alike.
Tasks:
- Create and maintain project schedules, milestone and feature deliverables
- Plan the project accordingly, by using the necessary tools and liaising with different teams to ensure an effective delivery
- Track assets, tasks, and costs in the short-term as well as constructively thinking long-term about the project and studio needs
- Conduct regular planning and review sessions with Cross-Functional project streams, help to remove impediments and identify any process improvement in collaboration with the streams
- Anticipate, identify and propose solutions for risk or production issues – positive or negative – to the PMO and Team Leads
- Manage game projects and associated projects throughout the product life cycle
- Work closely with a range of different internal and external stakeholders, and 3rd Parties of the business to identify opportunities for growth or process improvement to best deliver games
- Provide regular status updates to Team leads, 3rd Parties and management on Game Project status, milestones, and cost
- Keep track of the compliance requirements and prepare the games for certification
- Define game release plans and follow through with execution to live
Manage and help to prioritize the backlog following business needs
Identify and help to manage underperformance and/or conflicts - In collaboration with the PMO help with optimizing capacity and resource allocation
- Keep up with trends in the industry and analyze competitors and in house products
Must-have:
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise independent judgment and discretion with integrity and accountability
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Producer or Project Manager (in Game Development would be desirable)
- Quality orientated attitude with attention to detail
- Excellent written, oral and communication skills
- Strong understanding of time, priority, and stakeholder management
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
