Their AI sensing devices are backed by discerning machine learning algorithms, eschewing the risk and invasion of privacy that live feeds and recordings from indoor security cameras and voice assistants could pose.
Description
Nami is looking for a Research Engineer who will be a part of a talented team that pushes the boundaries of motion sensing technologies. You will help the team drive a future of DIY home security. You will be actively working with Wi-Fi sensing, Radars (conventional and UWB) and here are some of the things you will be doing:
Tasks:
- Work with the product team on identifying potential use-cases and applications of the sensing technology
- Research and build proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations of the sensing algorithms
- Build ML models to classify the motion, and improve the performance of the sensing system
- Analyze the algorithm's performance depending on the device placement, antenna configuration, existing RF environment, etc
- Suggest improvements on how to optimize both hardware and software of our products
Must-have:
- Strong knowledge of math, matrix operations, and signal processing (DFT, DWT, etc.)
- Strong experience writing code in Python / Matlab for PoC implementations, iPython (Jupyter) experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the ML frameworks, e.g PyTorch, TensorFlow and etc
- Experience with building ML models
- Working as part of a team is important to you
- Effective communicator in English (written and verbal)
Nice to have
- Degree in Math, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Wi-Fi protocols
- Experience with mmWave radars
- Experience with optimizing ML models for running on embedded devices (e.g., TinyML)
- An eye toward the future of IoT, home security, and home automation
