Description
The company is looking for a dedicated Senior Linux System Engineer to join their collaborative team focused on maintaining and scaling up the production infrastructure. The successful candidate will work as part of a team focused on site reliability, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate is someone who excels at troubleshooting complex technical solutions that have large scale and identifying continuous improvements.
Tasks:
Tasks:
- Being responsible for the security, stability and uptime of production, staging and development environments
- Monitoring the above environments and reacting to alerts and issues that may arise in day-to-day operation of their product line
- Participation in an on-call rota for priority-1 level alarms with the rest of the Ops team
- Ongoing upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and processes
- Contribution to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes
- Interaction with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Must-have:
- 5 years of experience in Linux system administration supporting a production environment
- Experience in deploying and scaling production workloads on cloud Infrastructure
- Good knowledge in networking and security concepts
- Strong knowledge in deployment and debugging of complex applications
- Experience in MySQL database administration
- Experience in developing and troubleshooting PHP applications
Nice-to-have:
- Perform performance tuning MySQL or similar databases
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Docker, Containers, Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments
