The company is looking for a dedicated Senior Linux System Engineer to join their collaborative team focused on maintaining and scaling up the production infrastructure. The successful candidate will work as part of a team focused on site reliability, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate is someone who excels at troubleshooting complex technical solutions that have large scale and identifying continuous improvements.

Tasks:
  • Being responsible for the security, stability and uptime of production, staging and development environments
  • Monitoring the above environments and reacting to alerts and issues that may arise in day-to-day operation of their product line
  • Participation in an on-call rota for priority-1 level alarms with the rest of the Ops team
  • Ongoing upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and processes
  • Contribution to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes
  • Interaction with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Must-have:
  • 5 years of experience in Linux system administration supporting a production environment 
  • Experience in deploying and scaling production workloads on cloud Infrastructure
  • Good knowledge in networking and security concepts
  • Strong knowledge in deployment and debugging of complex applications
  • Experience in MySQL database administration
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting PHP applications
Nice-to-have:
  • Perform performance tuning MySQL or similar databases 
  • Experience with AWS 
  • Experience with Docker, Containers, Kubernetes 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments
