Cloud Support Specialist

Remote or Lisbon, Portugal
MoVal is a Finnish services company providing high-level IT expertise combined with business area-specific know-how. The company helps with project management, software development and deployment, cloud development etc.
They are seeking to strengthen their cross-functional scrum team with an experienced Cloud Support Specialist to join its final customer in Lisbon.

The working plan assumes 5 days per week job in three shifts - day, evening and night. One working week is done in the day shift, the next one is done in the evening shift and the third week requires the night shift.

Tasks:
  • Ticket resolution - the first point of contact for customers seeking technical support in cloud infrastructure based on Openstack, on Kubernetes or in storage (CEPH)
  • Hardware fix coordination with data centre managers and remote integration
  • Infra monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions
  • Customer Kubernetes monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions
  • Account management (creation, modification and deletion)
  • Cloud Platform Upgrades
Must-have:
  • Experience in test-driven development CI/CD pipelines and back-end languages like Python
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Advanced experience in Linux administration and large setups
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge in at least some of the solutions used in the cloud platforms such as OpenStack and CEPH
  • Experience on Kubernetes
  • Containers - especially with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Cloud computing (provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.)
  • Virtualization - primarily using OpenStack
  • Experience in Customer IT tools and processes knowledge will be a plus.
