Remote Python and React Contractor

Please note that the project described below is a contractor role where work is usually done on an hourly basis. The duration of the project is also fixed. In order to work as a contractor, you typically need to have an individual entrepreneurship, limited liability company or invoice via a co-operative using a service for light entrepreneurship.

When you accept the project, we will sign a time and materials based subcontracting agreement between Toughbyte and your legal entity before you start work. We provide all the necessary help with arranging interviews and negotiations between you and the client, and will also going be the ones to send the invoices for your work.
Renewcast is a leader in wind power generation forecasting, offering a proprietary SaaS platform that provides more accurate day-ahead and intra day wind production forecasts based on weather and wind turbine generator data. This technology delivers significant cost savings for wind park operators.
Now the company is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Full-Stack Developer to join the team remotely for a short-term project up to 3 months 
 
Tasks:
  • Lead the development and management of the user portal, frontend, and backend, serving as the primary interaction layer between the forecasting models and end-users
  • Design, implement, and optimize portal scalability to handle increasing volumes of forecasting data
  • Add new features to the frontend, such as new visualizations or UX improvements
  • Ensure high-level security standards and best practices are applied across the platform, monitoring for vulnerabilities and implementing regular updates
Must-have:
  • Proficient in Python (Django) for server-side development
  • Experience with API monitoring and maintenance
  • Experience with React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Understanding of DevOps best practices for software lifecycle management 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (such as Github actions)
  • Fluent English
Nice-to-have:
  • Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
