Description
Tasks:
- Lead and inspire the software development teams (frontend, orchestrating system, and backend) to achieve excellence in product development
- Strategize the overall development roadmap in alignment with the company's objectives and market needs
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions that meet the specific needs of bioinformatics developers
- Act as a bridge between the development teams and C-level executives, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform integrates seamlessly with other components and services
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development and computational biology, leveraging this knowledge to keep the company's platform at the cutting edge
- Champion the technical and professional development of your team, providing guidance and mentorship to nurture their growth
Must-have:
- Proven experience in leading and growing software development teams, with a strong technological background
- Demonstrable experience in developing and managing large-scale deep tech software platforms, preferably in the domain of SaaS and platforms for developers
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving projects to successful completion
- A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies and project management
- A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Passion for innovation and a commitment to creating impactful solutions in the field of computational biology
